Texas SandFest draws a large crowd so our Vendors do well. We have world-class sand sculptors and a wonderful festival that attracts people from all over Texas and beyond. Most of our previous vendors return, the best spaces go first and all the spaces are gone long before the event so be sure to send your form and fee in as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Generators: Allowed in spaces #43 thru #54 (Food Vendors).

• Parking: Some vendor spaces include a reserved parking space. Vendor spaces #1 thru #24 and #34 thru #58 include a reserved parking spot for a car or truck. The crowds are so large that the parking is very limited at SandFest so those reserved spaces are really worth the extra cost. We do have a limited number of reserved parking spaces that you may reserve for $80. All other vendors will have to park down the road before you get to Marker 9 or after Marker 14. If you bring an RV or motor home, please make arrangements to keep them at one of the area RV parks.

• Loading/Unloading: If you have an interior space (one that is inside of the event grounds, such as spaces #59 through #100, you will be allowed to drive, carefully, into the event grounds to load and unload your wares. You may not keep your vehicle parked by your space. You may pay a fee for an extra space to park your vehicle. Otherwise, you must drive on the designated route and only during the following times: Mornings: 8:00am-9:00am Afternoons: 5:00pm-6:00pm

• Prices: Prices are based on size and location. We have tried to locate all spaces around the sculptors and price them equally. Everyone will have a good location.

• Size: The dimensions of the spaces are set. If you can’t fit within one of the spaces, you must purchase a bigger space or 2 spaces.

• Set Up: Texas SandFest is a three-day event, however Friday things are just getting started and there are many people that show up early that day. Therefore, Vendors are asked to set up early Friday morning, no later than 9:00 or late Thursday evening . Be sure you check in with the Vendor Coordinator, before you set up.

• Application deadline is March 15. No applications will be accepted after that. Spaces are numbered on the Site Plan and the application allows the Vendors to select the space they want, which will be reserved as soon as we receive the space fee. Please realize that these are on a first come, first serve basis and the web site is updated frequently. It is a good idea to give your first and second choice. You may email and let us know what you want to do, that way we can be looking for your application. Look at the Vendor List to see which spaces have already been reserved. For those vendors on the inside side of the event grounds, if you want to keep your vehicle next to your space, you can reserve 2 spaces if you like.

• Raffle: If you are selling candles (for example) one great way to advertise is to donate one of your candles to our raffle. We will be raffling off items such as pieces of art, jewelry, hotel weekends, lunches... Each item (or certificate for lunch/dinner...) is on display during the festival along with info about the item and the company donating it. It is a great way to advertise an item that you are selling at your booth and to get exposure for your company, AND it helps SandFest. Thanks to all our generous sponsors, our raffle is getting very popular and it attracts quite a lot of attention.

• Alcohol: No alcohol can be sold by a vendor at the event.

• Not Allowed: Bull-horns or other aggressive "hawking", objectionable flags, signs or activities that may offend some of the public. You may not "sublet" any or part of your space to another vendor. All vendors must be approved by SandFest.

• We reserve the right to refuse any Vendors we do not feel are appropriate for the Texas SandFest. We reserve the right to limit certain types of vendors so there aren't too many of any one kind of booths. If there are too many vendors selling the same item, no one is happy.

• Security: The event is held on the beach and there is no security for vendors at night. Therefore all vendors need to remove all their wares and anything of value each evening.

• Cancellation Policy: Vendors who need to cancel must do so in writing and we must receive it at least four weeks before the event March 12 in order to get a refund. After the March 12 deadline, all fees will be forfeited and donated to SandFest.

• If there is bad weather, the event will be held inside at an alternate location in Port Aransas. A fine misty rain is not considered bad weather. Do not call if it is raining in your location because it probably isn't raining here. It will be posted on the web site if it is cancelled. The Master Sand Sculptors and Amateur Sculptors will create table-top sculptures. Vendors will be assigned vendor spaces. We will still draw a large crowd.

Vendor Space

There are four different kinds of Vendor Spaces of different sizes (with and with-out parking). If you have an end space, it will cost a little extra because you will have two open sides. There will be no tents provided for vendors. The costs vary based on size and location.

The four types of spaces:
10'x10' space with no parking
10'x30' space includes parking space
20'x30' space includes parking space
20'x30' Food Trailer Space - generator permitted

When we received your application and check, we will cash your check and you will receive a confirmation by email. Merely showing up at the event and saying you "sent it", will not get you a space. Deadline is March 15.

We only allow a certain number of each type of vendor.


Food Vendor

Food vendors need to contact the health department to obtain the permits that are needed. Please call the Nueces County Health Dept. 361-826-7273 or 361-626-7223. This must be done early since there is a mandatory class and inspection in addition to the application and fee to the County for the permit.

Insurance Requirements -
Food vendors must present a Certificate of Insurance to Texas SandFest a minimum of $1,000,000.00 general libality coverage that is in effect during SandFest. Failure to present proof of insurance will result in a forfeiture of vendor's right to participate at the event.
Food Vendors must post clearly all prices. A copy of your menu with prices must be attached to your application

We feed our Master sculptors at the event so if any food Vendors are able to donate some lunches, we would appreciate it.
